Curriculum Enrichment Publications’ charge is to create
materials that will enhance the learning experiences of children from birth
on. The company’s philosophy is that these learning experiences will
come through thematic literature based units. Each of the publications that
this company will create and bring to reality will relate to state standards
and have elements to enrich the classroom curriculum. From lesson plans to
hands on activities and manipulatives, Curriculum Enrichment Publications
aims to meet the needs of teachers and students in and out of the classroom.
Betsy Peters opened the company in 2007 in hopes of making curriculum materials
for preschool aged children through elementary aged children.
Betsy is going to be releasing her first publication,
Worms Like to Wiggle, on September 21st at the Virginia Children’s
Museum. She is currently teaching, writing a series of children’s
stories and social stories for children with and without autism, and developing
a 3rd grade math workbook aligned with the Virginia Standards of Learning.
